The Company Our client is a specialist engineering company. Due growth they are now looking to recruit an Engineering Polisher. The Role * Will be working permanent day shift Monday-Thursday. * Interpret engineering drawings. * Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror. * Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components. * Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes. * Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts. * In process and finished goods inspection. * Process auditing. * Signing first and last inspection reports. * Reporting of non-conforming parts. * Ensure zero defects reach end user. * Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package. The Person * Must have previous polishing experience in an engineering company. * Experience of building special purpose equipment. * Experience in engineering. * Ability to read assembly/technical documentation such as drawings and work instructions. * Adhere to manufacturing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP\’s).
