You’ll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a range of electronic equipment, ensuring all systems perform to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
The Job You’ll Do
- Carry out repair and maintenance on electronic assemblies and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Use soldering and rework techniques to service and refurbish electronic components.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics to support fault diagnosis and repair.
- Troubleshoot issues at the component level using test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Apply knowledge of components including SMT/SMD, PTH, and other key electronic parts.
- Maintain detailed records of all repair and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support technical projects and meet operational deadlines.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
About You
- A detail-oriented and methodical approach to fault‑finding and repair.
- Strong technical understanding of electronics, circuits, and component-level troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience using test instruments and hand tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude to continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A qualification in Electronics or a related technical field (degree or diploma preferred).
- Previous experience in an electronic repair or maintenance role (minimum 3 years desirable).
- A valid UK driving licence is preferred.
