MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based near Washington by recruiting a permanent Electrical Engineer. You will be joining an industry leading company, with an excellent team-based culture and fantastic long-term career prospects.

The Job You'll Do:

  • Design, development, and delivery of electrical systems for a range of projects
  • Design and manufacture of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Work closely with estimators to prepare accurate project cost estimates and schedules.
  • Develop and review CAD designs and schematics for LV electrical systems ensuring all designs meet regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure designs are translated effectively into final products.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Ensure quality assurance and control standards are met at all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation within the engineering team
  • Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, ensuring all expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the electrical engineering processes and team.
  • Oversee electrical projects from design through to installation and commissioning
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

About You:

  • HNC or above in an electrical discipline essential.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in electrical engineering / electrical control systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar)
  • Understanding of BS7671 wiring regulations, BS EN 61439 and IEC standards
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
