Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are now looking to recruit a CNC Estimator on a permanent basis.
This is a full-time, on-site CNC Estimator role based in a busy manufacturing site in Newcastle. The CNC Estimator will review engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models to prepare accurate cost estimates for CNC turning, CNC milling, and wire EDM projects.
- This role involves selecting appropriate materials and processes, calculating machining times, tooling requirements, and subcontract costs, and preparing detailed quotations for customers.
- The CNC Estimator will liaise closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to confirm technical feasibility, optimize manufacturing methods, and ensure estimates align with capacity and lead times.
- Day-to-day tasks include maintaining estimating databases and pricing models, supporting responses to RFQs and tenders, tracking quote status and win/loss data, and contributing to continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a CNC Estimator role supporting multiple sectors including Oil.
