MTrec are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client, based in Ashington, who are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a successful company that really puts their employees at the heart of their business. Shift Pattern:

  • 8-hour shifts, working 2,6,10 pattern

The Job You’ll Do:

  • Diagnose and resolve both mechanical and electrical faults using diagrams and schematics.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks (PPM) as well as reactive.
  • Install and commission new machinery and equipment.
  • Identify, overhaul, and repair faults in a timely and safe manner.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Supporting with the installation of new machinery, as well as updating older models.

About You:

  • Minimum of a time served apprenticeship in maintenance engineering to NVQ Level 3 (multiskilled).
  • A HNC or above in a relevant discipline (desirable).
  • PLC fault finding experience (desirable).
  • Experience with electrical cable installations and maintenance.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience.
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
  • Full UK drivers license.
