The Company you will be working for:

MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their Assembly team on a full time and permanent basis. If you feel you have the skills and experience required, then please apply for an immediate response!

The Role you will be doing:

  • Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products following work instructions and drawings
  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials
  • Perform hand soldering and/or operate soldering equipment as required
  • Use hand tools, assembly fixtures, and production equipment safely
  • Carry out visual inspections and basic functional testing
  • Identify and report defects, faults, or process issues
  • Accurately record production, quality, and test data
  • Maintain ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and a clean workstation
  • Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
  • Comply with all health, safety, and company procedures

About You:

  • Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
  • Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, working to high levels of accuracy
  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of electronic components
  • Hand soldering experience (through-hole)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for machine interface and data entry
  • GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
  • On-the-job training is often provided
