MTrec Recruitment are currently supporting our industry leading manufacturing client on their search for a permanent Production Operative to join their Assembly team on a full time and permanent basis. The Role you will be doing:
- Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products following work instructions and drawings
- Follow work instructions, drawings, and bills of materials
- Perform hand soldering and/or operate soldering equipment as required
- Use hand tools, assembly fixtures, and production equipment safely
- Carry out visual inspections and basic functional testing
- Identify and report defects, faults, or process issues
- Accurately record production, quality, and test data
- Maintain ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls and a clean workstation
- Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Comply with all health, safety, and company procedures
About You:
- Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
- Good manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination
- Ability to read and follow instructions, working to high levels of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of electronic components
- Hand soldering experience (through-hole)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for machine interface and data entry
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
