The Role you will be doing:

  • Generate and Manage Leads: Identify new prospective customers and manage a pipeline of leads through proactive outreach (calls, emails, networking).
  • Product Expertise & Presentation: Develop in-depth knowledge of our products and services to effectively communicate their features and benefits to potential clients. Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contract terms and pricing to successfully close deals and meet or exceed monthly and annual sales quotas.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new sales opportunities and refine sales strategies.
  • CRM Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and sales progress.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including social media, marketing and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer journey and alignment of strategies.
  • New Business Development: Identify and prospect new clients to expand our market share. This includes cold calling, attending trade shows, and networking to generate leads.
  • Technical Consultation: Develop a deep understanding of our manufacturing processes, materials, and machinery to provide expert advice and recommend the best solutions for customer needs.
  • Quoting and Negotiation: Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and tender documents, and negotiate contracts, prices, terms, and delivery schedules to close sales and meet revenue targets.
  • Reporting: Manage and update customer information and sales activity and provide regular sales forecast reports to management.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to group and customer sites, industry events, and trade shows.

About You:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in a product sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Proven experience in technical sales, business development, or account management, with at least 5 years in plastics, manufacturing, or an industrial setting. Injection Moulding knowledge is essential.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of plastic injection moulding processes, tooling design, and various thermoplastic materials.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, target-driven, resilient, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record is typically required for travel.

  • Experience in preparing tenders for purchasing and procurement organisations
  • Creativity that drives product innovation
