Plan and organise the most appropriate and cost-effective routes for European road freight movements, considering transit times, security, and customer requirements. Negotiate rates for transport, shipping and handling costs, preparing accurate quotations for customers. Ensure correct file formation including purchasing, sales, agreements and documentation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of European trade regulations, customs requirements, fiscal regimes and any political or operational factors affecting freight movement. Manage correct customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, including documentation and duties. Provide customers with timely and accurate updates, resolving any queries or complaints professionally. Previous experience in European road freight operations is essential. Strong understanding of international trade regulations and import/export documentation. Experience in regulatory compliance areas such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Money Laundering, Restricted Party Screening, sanctions, HS code classification, dual-use goods, re-export restrictions, HAZCHEM and recordkeeping (desirable). Flexible and adaptable. Proficient in Microsoft 365. Ability to write and speak in English.
