The Company you will be working for:
MTrec Commercial are proudly representing our industry leading client on their search for an experienced Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller to join their team on a full time and permanent basis. If you feel you have the required skills and experience, then please apply for an immediate response.
The Role you will be doing:
- Cash Book: Initial recording of all receipts and payments. Initial reconciliation matching transactions listed on the cash book with those of the bank statements. All data processed in SAP and reconciled daily.
- Sales Ledger: Reconciliation of ledger accounts. Production of statements and reports.
- Purchase Ledger: Input of all supplier invoices. Tracking outstanding balances, organising all BACS payments and production of remittances. Tracking refunds owed. Produce reports.
- Credit Control: Process credit applications for potential customers. Tracking and reporting outstanding debts to Accountant with recommendations for Solicitors Letters.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Monthly Reconciliation Posting of Monthly Expenses.
- Petty Cash Management: Recording small cash purchases/sales made by the business, compiled from petty cash vouchers. Credit card processing including allocation of costs centre, matching receipts and reimbursement of non-company expenses.
- Answering incoming telephone queries.
- Ad Hoc Duties as required by the financial controller on a day-to-day basis.
About You:
- Previous experience in an accounting or credit control role (12 years preferred)
- AAT desirable
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is advantageous
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
