Senior Quantity Surveyor | Civil Engineering | Wakefield | £65k - £75k + Package

We're currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Wakefield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business delivering a range of infrastructure, highways, earthworks and civil engineering projects across Yorkshire, working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and commercially managed from start to finish.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing the commercial delivery of civil engineering projects through to final account.
  • Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and final accounts.
  • Managing subcontract procurement, payments and performance.
  • Identifying and negotiating variations and compensation events.
  • Working closely with Contracts Managers, site teams, clients and supply chain partners.
  • Ensuring effective contract administration, particularly NEC.
  • What You'll Need
  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure, highways, drainage, earthworks or similar projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
