The Company We are working with a leading refurbishment and fit‑out contractor who is well respected, cash rich, and has excellent supply‑chain relationships. The Role We want to recruit an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer with a track record in construction who can make a difference and grow in the role. Responsibilities * Research and contact new suppliers to initiate business relationships and partnerships * Negotiate new contracts including rebates * Overall control for ordering materials and plant, and involvement with subcontractors * Risk management and initiation of spending controls where required * Work closely with other departments to put in place and follow robust processes and procedures that aid the construction business You Preferred experience: Buyer / Senior Buyer in construction with a good understanding of material and plant prices and ideally a network of contacts for benchmarking. IT literate with the ability to interpret and analyse data. Must hold a full UK driving licence.
