We're working with a leading utilities provider to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a portfolio of infrastructure projects across the region. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from pre-contract through to final account. Experience in utilities isn't essential - they're open to candidates from construction or civil engineering backgrounds with strong commercial awareness. Based in Leeds, the role offers a flexible mix of office, home working, and site visits.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing commercial performance across multiple projects
- Preparing cost estimates, forecasts and reports
- Administering contracts (primarily NEC), including change control
- Assessing applications for payment and issuing certificates
- Negotiating variations and final accounts
- Identifying risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures
- Building strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders
What You Will Need:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civils
- Understanding of contract administration (NEC beneficial)
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
