We're working with a leading utilities provider to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a portfolio of infrastructure projects across the region. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from pre-contract through to final account. Experience in utilities isn't essential - they're open to candidates from construction or civil engineering backgrounds with strong commercial awareness. Based in Leeds, the role offers a flexible mix of office, home working, and site visits.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing commercial performance across multiple projects
  • Preparing cost estimates, forecasts and reports
  • Administering contracts (primarily NEC), including change control
  • Assessing applications for payment and issuing certificates
  • Negotiating variations and final accounts
  • Identifying risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures
  • Building strong relationships with contractors and stakeholders

What You Will Need:

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civils
  • Understanding of contract administration (NEC beneficial)
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator with negotiation ability
