The Role
We want to recruit an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer with a track record in construction who can make a difference and grow in the role.
Responsibilities
- Research and contact new suppliers to initiate business relationships and partnerships
- Negotiate new contracts including rebates
- Overall control for ordering materials and plant, and involvement with subcontractors
- Risk management and initiation of spending controls where required
- Work closely with other departments to put in place and follow robust processes and procedures that aid the construction business
Preferred experience:
- Buyer / Senior Buyer in construction with a good understanding of material and plant prices and ideally a network of contacts for benchmarking.
- IT literate with the ability to interpret and analyse data.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
