We are representing a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for delivering large-scale projects across the education, healthcare, industrial, and commercial sectors. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee a cΒ£25m new build education project.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project from inception to completion, managing all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery within time, budget, and quality parameters.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Lead and manage all phases of the construction project, ensuring timely delivery within budget and specifications.
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Implement and monitor health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage and control project budgets, procurement, and contract administration.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained through inspections, audits, and regular reviews.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Report on project progress, financial status, and potential issues to senior management and stakeholders.
You will need:
- Proven delivery of new-build construction projects into the millions as a Senior PM or Project Lead.
- Strong background in education, public sector or similar complex building projects.
- Experience working under JCT (Design & Build or Traditional) contracts.
- Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven leadership of site teams including Site Managers, Engineers and Package Managers.
