We're currently working with a leading construction business to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their team based in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established contractor delivering a strong pipeline of new build affordable housing projects across the region.
The successful candidate will play a key role within the pre-construction team, managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission, working closely with clients, consultants and internal delivery teams to produce accurate and competitive bids.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tenders for new build housing projects.
- Managing the estimating process from enquiry stage through to submission.
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, programmes and tender documentation.
- Producing accurate cost plans, budgets and tender reports.
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams.
- Supporting the wider pre-construction team with value engineering and commercial advice.
- What You'll Need
- Previous experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment.
- Experience pricing new build residential or affordable housing projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, specifications and cost planning.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
