We’re currently working with a growing construction contractor to recruit an Estimator due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions. The business delivers a broad range of projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, refurbishment and civil engineering sectors, and they are looking for someone who can play a key role in supporting the pre-construction team and helping secure future projects. This role would suit an Estimator looking to join a growing contractor where they can take ownership of tenders, work closely with operational teams and progress within an expanding business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents
  • Producing take-offs and bills of quantities
  • Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Supporting value engineering and cost planning exercises
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal teams
  • Working closely with operational teams during handover stages
  • Assisting with bid submissions and tender presentations

What You Will Need:

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
  • Experience pricing construction, refurbishment or civil engineering projects
  • Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical information
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Relevant construction qualification preferred
