We're currently working with a well-established main contractor to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team in an office-based role. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering commercial, healthcare, education and industrial construction projects across Yorkshire and the Midlands. You’ll play a key role in securing new work by producing accurate and competitive estimates, working closely with the wider pre-construction and operational teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Producing take-offs and obtaining subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
- Working closely with the pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams
- Supporting bid presentations and client negotiations where required
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a main contractor
- Experience pricing commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and tendering processes
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Relevant construction qualification preferred
