MTR Elizabeth Line are looking to appoint a talented individual to work alongside our existing Fleet Delivery Team and maintenance providers to deliver a safe, reliable and clean fleet of trains to meet the daily train service requirements every day. As a Shift Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operation of the business on a shift basis, working at the maintenance provider and across MTR Elizabeth Line sites as required.
It is essential that you have substantial rolling stock fleet experience and will be capable of developing, putting in place and overseeing procedures and processes which ensure compliance with fleet safety related standards to enable the Concession to operate effectively. You will need to have the ability to react, assess information and make a safe decision quickly to avoid delays to the service.
You will be able to communicate clearly and concisely with both colleagues, suppliers and customers alike, and you will be able to influence those around you to deliver to ever-increasing standards both within MTR Elizabeth Line and the maintenance providers. This role will work on a 24/7 shifted roster at our Old Oak Common depot.
To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate a mix of the following:
- Substantial rolling stock fleet maintenance experience.
- Develop, put in place and oversee compliance with fleet safety related standards to enable the Concession to operate effectively.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of electric multiple fleets/AC traction and relevant signalling systems.
- Ability to influence.
- Commercially astute.
- Role model for MTR and RFL values.
- Confidence in working on your own initiative.
- Competence assessor and verifier for safety critical work.
- A passion for improving safety and finding innovative and practical solutions.
- Rolling stock fleet management experience with at least 5 years in a position of authority.
