Volunteer Befriender Role in Brent

We are seeking volunteer befrienders at our Brent service. If you have a couple of hours to spare regularly and enjoy engaging with others, we\’d love to hear from you.

Are you a warm, chatty, and good listener? We are looking for befrienders who can provide companionship by meeting residents for tea and conversation.

As a volunteer with Creative Support, you\’ll receive training, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly newsletter, and an online support group via Zoom.

Volunteer Duties

1. Meet regularly with residents
2. Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns
3. Develop friendships and enjoy conversations while respecting boundaries
4. Complete provided training
5. Attend regular supervisions with your volunteer supervisor
