We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Armagh focused on major electrical construction projects across Europe. You will work closely with Contract Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to client specifications. This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to drive cost control and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. While this role will primarily be based in our Armagh office, occasional site visits to projects across Europe and the UK will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with estimating teams during tendering to understand project scope and commercial strategy
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive commercial project files prior to and throughout the project
  • Produce accurate weekly cost reports and project performance projections
  • Manage and submit change orders promptly as project scope evolves
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations, following up to ensure timely certification and payment
  • Develop cashflow forecasts and monitor project financial status continuously
  • Identify risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and submit Early Warning Notices
  • Manage contract compliance, issue resolution, and communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contract conditions, commercial best practices, and relevant legislation
  • Support final account preparation and project close-out documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years commercial experience in construction settings, ideally within electrical projects
  • Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record in cost control, valuations, and change management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and project teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Fluent in English (minimum C2 level), both written and spoken
  • EU citizenship or unrestricted visa-free travel within the EU
  • Familiarity with contract law and construction procurement processes
