MTM Engineering has an exciting opportunity for a site-based Electrical Quality Control team member to join our growing team, reporting to the QA Manager.

The Role

The successful candidate will be part of the current QA/QC team responsible for inspection and handover of cable installations. The role will be based on a Data Centre project within London, UK.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspection of MTM works on cable install, termination, and Glanding of LV and MV cables.
• Maintain inspection records of MTM works using bespoke MTM APP and BIM platforms.
• Liaise with Client / Electrical contractor on submission of QA Inspection records in a timely manner in line with yellow tag dates.
• Close out queries on equipment with MTM team and Client which may impact on MTM progress.
• Work with the QA and Construction team to implement corrective and preventative actions in line with snag lists from MTM bespoke QA App system.
• Work with the MTM construction team to communicate best practices, mock-ups, first of kinds to ensure consistent quality is achieved.
• Assist in completion of monthly and weekly QA audits and toolbox talks as required.
• Manage email and telephone communications as required.
• Ensure that QA activities are tracked to completion to achieve project deadlines.

The Person

• 3+ years experience working in a similar role
• Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and at times pressurised environment
• Strong communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
• Ability to support, manage, lead and enthuse others

Desirable Criteria

• Qualified Electrician
• Previous electrical experience in Data Centres and construction
• Previous experience in cable install, glanding, and terminating on industrial cabling
• Data Centre experience
