MTM Engineering has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing team based out of our Armagh office with occasional travel to our Slane or Strabane offices. This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission
  • Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients
  • Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings
  • Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats
  • Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids
  • Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team
  • Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience in an Estimator role
  • Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical clients
