MTM Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This role will be based in our Strabane or Armagh offices.
The Role
This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.

Our expertise spans industry sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, renewables, power generation, critical infrastructure, and more.
Responsibilities
- Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission
- Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers
- Communicating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers & clients
- Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings
- Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats
- Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors\’ proposal documents to support bids
- Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team
- Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department

- Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
- High attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients
- Qualifications in Mathematics & English (5+ GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset
- Experience as an Estimator and an Electrical background
