We are seeking a number of Data Cabling Technicians to work for us on day rate contract in the London area. As a Data Cabling Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of Cat6/Cat6A and fibre optic cabling across a range of operational settings. You will work on the road across our UK business unit, covering the Greater London area, with requirements primarily based in Hayes, Slough and Hemmel. Due to the travel involved, a full driving license and access to your own transport will be necessary.
The role requires a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with Health and Safety regulations and strict security procedures. While prior experience is important, we value individuals who are also keen to build on their existing skills and adapt to evolving technologies and standards.
Responsibilities- Installation and testing of Cat6, Cat6a, and Fibre Optic cabling in a range of environments
- Interpreting construction drawings to guide installation work
- Follow Health and Safety regulations and Site Management requirements at all times
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably required to support the team and project objectives
- Hands-on experience with copper and fibre cabling, ideally in a datacentre or similar environment
- Full driving license, access to your own transport and be willing to travel to multiple sites
- Must have a current Safe Pass or be willing to get one before commencement of employment
- Certification in Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Hoist Operator training are an advantage but not essential.
