We are looking for a Digital Content Editor to join our friendly and collaborative team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Digital Content Editor will manage and populate website content for multiple client projects within the digital production team. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work collaboratively with designers, developers, and project managers, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is an ideal role for someone who has a strong interest in developing their knowledge in digital content and marketing within a development environment
The Digital Content Editor role includes:
- Populating, formatting, and organising website content during website builds using content management systems (e.g. Optimizely, Kontent.ai, WordPress, Umbraco).
- Ensuring that content is accurately placed and visually appealing across desktop and mobile views.
- Collaborating with project managers, developers and designers to maintain consistency with design and branding guidelines.
- Addressing and resolving client queries related to website content updates and functionality.
- Providing guidance to clients on best practices for managing and updating their website content.
- Working closely with technical teams to escalate and resolve more complex support issues.
- Reviewing and testing website content for accuracy, usability, and compatibility.
- Performing final checks to ensure all content is error-free, functional, and meets client expectations.
- Optimising images, text, and other assets for web performance and accessibility.
- Suggesting and implementing basic SEO improvements during content population.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining content schedules for website builds and updates.
- Communicating effectively with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements and manage timelines.

It would be desirable, but not essential, to have the below experience and knowledge:
Experience in digital content editing, content management, or a related role
Proficiency in using CMS systems like Wordpress, Optimizely (EPiServer), Umbraco and Kontent.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and web design principles
Knowledge of SEO fundamentals and best practices for web content
