Responsibilities
- Develop processes to produce product that meet internal and external customer requirements
- Ensure all processes meet volume, quality, cost and delivery targets
- Design production processes and facility layouts to optimise ‘Value Added’ activities and eliminate ‘Non-Value Added’ processes and operations
- Ensure jigs, fixtures, tooling and programming are available to support all production requirements
- Provide accurate reporting on progress, issues, upcoming actions, and risks
- Support manufacturing areas to eliminate waste, reduce NVA, improve productivity, and prevent accidents
- Identify, specify, and present business cases for new equipment and processes
- Implement, educate, and support standard work and lean processes
- Support training procedures and programs for new processes and equipment
About You
- Strong knowledge and experience in Production Engineering within heavy engineering and fabrication
- Leadership in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement systems and tools
- Ability to interpret engineering information
- Proficiency in jig design and AutoCAD software
- Experience with production planning on MRP systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Focus on quality and ability to communicate its importance
- Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking

- Monday-Friday 0700-1600
