Responsibilities

  1. Develop processes to produce product that meet internal and external customer requirements
  2. Ensure all processes meet volume, quality, cost and delivery targets
  3. Design production processes and facility layouts to optimise ‘Value Added’ activities and eliminate ‘Non-Value Added’ processes and operations
  4. Ensure jigs, fixtures, tooling and programming are available to support all production requirements
  5. Provide accurate reporting on progress, issues, upcoming actions, and risks
  6. Support manufacturing areas to eliminate waste, reduce NVA, improve productivity, and prevent accidents
  7. Identify, specify, and present business cases for new equipment and processes
  8. Implement, educate, and support standard work and lean processes
  9. Support training procedures and programs for new processes and equipment

About You

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Production Engineering within heavy engineering and fabrication
  • Leadership in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement systems and tools
  • Ability to interpret engineering information
  • Proficiency in jig design and AutoCAD software
  • Experience with production planning on MRP systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Focus on quality and ability to communicate its importance
  • Strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking

Working Hours

  • Monday-Friday 0700-1600
