Overview
About the role: Pressing using the Brake Presses to produce customersβ orders on time and to the correct quality standard. Setting up the machine β reading drawings, programming machine, tooling changes etc. Marking up of pressed parts and packing. Robot Programming. Material Handling β manoeuvring of materials on to and off the press machines, either by crane or manually.
Responsibilities
- Operate brake presses to produce customer orders on time and to the required quality standard.
- Set up machines by reading drawings, programming the machine, and changing tooling as needed.
- Mark up pressed parts and pack finished components.
- Program robots where applicable.
- Handle materials for the press, moving materials onto and off the press either by crane or manually.
About You
- Previous brake press operating and setting experience essential.
- Ideally knowledge of Cybelec software programming.
- Ability to read, understand and follow 1st and 3rd angle projection drawings.
- Knowledge of working with different grades of metal.
- Competent in using measuring equipment (vernier, rulers, angle measuring devices).
- A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements.
- Quality-focused with attention to detail.
- Excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 0600-1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600
