The Role

MTI Technology is seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team. With a decade-long reputation for innovation and excellence in CHECK and CREST Penetration Testing services, we serve government, financial, and commercial sectors. This role supports our expanding sales team and customer base by providing technical assistance and developing comprehensive and winning scopes of work and proposals.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Customer Interaction: Assist account managers in understanding customer requirements and drafting appropriate scopes and proposals.
  • Client Engagement: Attend and lead customer meetings, conference calls, and presentations.
  • Service Promotion: Advise on and promote MTI's Penetration Testing & Security Consultancy services.
  • Training: Provide technical and compliance training to the Sales Team in an accessible manner.
  • Collaboration: Work with the CHECK and CREST Penetration Testing Team to develop high-quality, competitive scopes, proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Participate in knowledge sharing with all MTI commercial personnel.
  • Technical Proficiency: Maintain and develop comprehensive knowledge of all MTI Testing and Consultancy Services.
  • Client Queries: Address technical and scoping queries from existing and potential clients.
  • Professional Development: Develop skills that enhance performance as a Pre-Sales Consultant.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records updated and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Role Requirements

  • Proficient technical and market knowledge of Penetration Testing and IT Health Check assessments (Servers, Infrastructure, Applications, IoT, Mobile Computing, and Social Engineering).
  • Experience in creating Statements of Work for Penetration Testing solutions.
  • Awareness of IT & Information Security Good Practices to provide competent and reliable advice.
  • Experience with Government IT Health Checks, PCI DSS, Cyber Essentials Scheme, and Industry Standard Security Testing Methodologies.
  • Proven record of delivering comprehensive, winning proposals and full tender responses.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for well-presented and quickly completed documents.

Desirable Requirements

  • Industry sector experience and compliance requirements knowledge for Financial Services, Defence, Central Government, Systems Integrators, IT Service Providers, Wider Public Sector, Charities, Commercial, and Services Sectors.
  • Certified in relevant security disciplines (e.g., CHECK, CREST).
