A leading global financial institution is seeking a Risk Lead to join its Global Technology & Operations (GT&O) function. This is a key role focused on strengthening risk governance across application support portfolios within a large-scale, complex technology environment. You’ll work across multiple teams to identify, assess, and manage technology and operational risks, ensuring strong controls, clear reporting, and effective mitigation strategies. This role suits someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, risk, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, assess, and validate risk impacts across technology portfolios
- Maintain and enhance risk registers, dashboards, and reporting frameworks
- Develop and track mitigation and remediation plans with delivery teams
- Provide clear, structured risk reporting and insights to senior leadership
- Perform QA on risk evidence and supporting documentation
- Create and maintain process documentation to ensure consistent execution of risk practices
- Drive proactive risk identification across application environments
- Collaborate with Risk partners on issues, regulatory exams, and audit activities
- Coordinate audit and exam deliverables across matrixed teams
Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of technology environments (applications and infrastructure)
- 3+ years’ experience in risk, audit, or control-focused roles within a technology function
- Experience supporting risk assessments, governance processes, and audits
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data for analysis and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for documentation and executive reporting
- Solid knowledge of risk management frameworks, processes, and controls
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator, able to work independently with multiple stakeholders
