A tier-one global financial institution is growing its Secrets Management engineering function, supporting critical cybersecurity controls across a "build-and-run" squad spread across North America, Europe, and India. The mission is to design and implement new features, tooling, and automations that strengthen cyber resiliency and improve the reliability of services used across the firm.

You will join as a fungible squad member across feature development, AI agent tooling, DevOps, and testing, working closely with wider technology stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery and observability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Security Tooling: Design and implement features, tooling, and AI agents supporting vulnerability analysis and cyber resiliency.
  • Strengthen Reliability: Support continuous improvement through remediation of security findings, automation, and observability solutions.
  • Uphold Standards: Enforce adherence to architectural principles, product guidelines, and usability standards.
  • Integrate & Onboard: Develop new integrations and onboard tooling to support business needs across the wider ecosystem.
  • Share Knowledge: Contribute to cross-team knowledge sharing, documentation, and presentations across the squad and department.
  • Participate in Delivery Ceremonies: Take part in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies, including on-call rotation.

Required Skills:

  • Core Technical Stack: 4+ years' backend/full-stack or AI agent development experience in Golang or Python, including REST APIs and microservices concepts.
  • Infrastructure Experience: 2+ years' experience with Kubernetes, including Helm.
  • AI Agent Exposure: Experience leveraging MCP, A2A, or Vector DBs in AI agent development.
  • Engineering Fundamentals: Solid understanding of memory and context management.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Experience with HashiCorp products such as Vault or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as retry patterns, circuit breakers, idempotency, service discovery, and API gateways.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.
  • Exposure to reliability best practices, such as SLOs, incident response, and observability engineering.
  • Cybersecurity practice experience, including encryption at rest and in transit, secret management, CVE remediation, authentication/authorisation, and PKI.
