A global investment bank is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join its Equity Technology team in London. You’ll be supporting a complex front-to-back trading application used by Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams to calculate PNL, manage risk, and reconcile positions. This is a dynamic, high-pressure environment where ownership, curiosity, and a commitment to excellence are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure high system availability and rapid resolution of technical issues.
- Provide support across Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations functions.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Act as a bridge between Business and Technology teams.
- Manage infrastructure and communicate outages and updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers and vendors to improve platform performance.
Skills Required:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, PERL, Shell).
- Solid understanding of Linux and SQL/database concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with trading platforms such as Sophis, Calypso, or Murex.
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Solace, Tibco EMS, MQ).
