Global Investment Bank – Application Support Analyst – Equity TechnologyA global investment bank is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join its Equity Technology team in London. You\’ll support a mission-critical, front-to-back trading platform used by Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations to calculate P&L, manage risk, and reconcile positions. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility role where you\’ll take real ownership of platform stability, incident management, and continuous improvement within a demanding trading environment.
What You\’ll Do
Ensure high availability and stability of a global equities trading platform
Diagnose and resolve production issues quickly and accurately
Act as a key point of contact for Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations users
Drive automation to improve support efficiency and reduce manual processes
Partner with engineering teams and vendors to resolve issues and enhance the platform
Manage infrastructure proactively to improve performance and resilience
Communicate incidents, outages, and change updates clearly to stakeholders
Contribute to governance, risk reduction, and operational best practices
Skills & Experience
Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise trading platforms
Strong Linux and SQL knowledge (including core database concepts)
Scripting or programming experience (Python, Perl, Shell, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Sophis experience
Knowledge of messaging systems (Solace, TIBCO EMS, MQ)
