We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workday Tester with a background in HR and recruitment to support the testing of our Workday Recruiting implementation and enhancements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Workday Recruiting as an ATS and a deep understanding of recruitment workflows, compliance, and candidate experience.
Position Overview:
Mtest Labs is seeking a detail-driven Workday Tester with a strong background in HR or recruitment, specifically someone who has previously used Workday Recruiting as an ATS. The role will support testing efforts for Workday Recruiting implementations, enhancements, and ongoing support engagements for our clients or internal systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone transitioning from an HR operation or recruiting background into HR technology, testing, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, and technical teams to understand and validate recruitment workflows in Workday.
Design, execute, and document comprehensive test cases for the Workday Recruiting module, including:
Job requisitions
Candidate lifecycle
Interview coordination
Offer processing
Onboarding triggers
Support System Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by acting as a liaison between functional users and the Workday technical team.
Log, track, and manage defects and testing issues using tools like JIRA or TestRail.
Review and test reports and dashboards related to recruiting KPIs, compliance, and hiring activity.
Participate in Agile sprint meetings, contribute to test planning, and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
Document test evidence and maintain audit-ready records.
Required Qualifications:
2 – 5 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or recruitment operations
Experience using Workday Recruiting as an end-user (Recruiter, Coordinator, or Admin role)
1+ years of experience in software/system testing, preferably HRIS (Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM)
Strong knowledge of recruitment workflows and compliance considerations
Familiarity with testing tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Ability to understand business processes and convert them into test cases
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to Workday integrations (e.g., onboarding, background checks, job boards)
Basic understanding of Agile testing practices
Workday certification in Recruiting or prior involvement in a Workday implementation project
Experience testing other modules like Core HCM or Onboarding is a plus
