Due to growth within our Facilities and Maintenance team, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role is suited to a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge. You’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality electrical maintenance, inspections, and installations across MTC facilities, helping to ensure our sites operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory regulations. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working in a fast‑paced environment, and taking pride in delivering work to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily electrical preventative maintenance activities across all facilities
  • Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns and ad‑hoc maintenance requests
  • Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and problem‑solving on plant, machinery and building systems
  • Complete electrical installations, including new connections for plant and machinery, and support commissioning and decommissioning activities
  • Undertake Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) testing
  • Review and assess external contractors’ health and safety documentation before work begins on site
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers, clearly communicating technical requirements and issues
  • Produce accurate service reports for all work completed
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities relating to equipment or system faults
  • Assist with the creation of risk assessments and ensure all work is completed safely

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities‑based role
  • Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (e.g., C)
