HTRC Technician role at MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre.
Location: High Temperature Research Centre (HTRC), Ansty Park, Coventry.
Contract: Permanent — 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities
- Operate bridgeman-style furnaces
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Perform inspection processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Follow work instructions and route cards accurately
- Care for casting equipment, including preventative maintenance
- Support manufacturing engineers with cost estimates and lead times
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in vacuum furnace operation (vacuum systems, temperature control, inert gas usage)
- BTEC/Level 3 qualification in engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Hands-on problem-solving approach with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good computing skills (Excel)
Desirable
- Knowledge of lost wax processing techniques
- Foundry or maintenance experience
- Experience operating large technical equipment
- Analytical skills using multiple data sources
