Azure Data Engineer – Enterprise Applications

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you will support the ongoing development of our BI Hub and data infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

You’ll collaborate with Application Owners and stakeholders to design, build, and maintain robust data models and pipelines that power high-quality Power BI reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of the BI Hub and enterprise data infrastructure
  • Contribute to requirements gathering, problem solving, data modelling, design, testing, and end-user support

  • Work across the Microsoft Azure cloud platform to deliver scalable solutions

  • Strong experience across Microsoft BI tools and technologies, including:
  • Microsoft Fabric
  • Data Lakes (BYDL 2.0)
  • Azure Synapse
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Dev Ops (data pipelines)
  • Microsoft Purview
  • CDM Utility
  • Event Grid
  • Serverless and Dedicated SQL Pools
  • Power BI (admin, apps, pipelines)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience creating and managing high-quality functional documentation
  • Business analysis capability with a focus on knowledge retention
  • Ability to work with third-party providers and implement technical changes

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 (Finance, Project Operations, Sales, Customer Insights)
  • ITIL Foundation qualification
