We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Programme Management team and help deliver exciting projects across the Power, Energy & Utilities sector. If you’re already coordinating projects, supporting programme teams or itching to take the next step into running your own projects, this could be a brilliant move for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting and delivering projects from start to finish, making sure plans stay on track
  • Coordinating people, resources, finances and timelines
  • Working closely with Programme Managers and stakeholders to flag risks, solve problems and agree clear next steps
  • Contributing ideas to improve how we run projects and programmes across MTC

You’ll also have the opportunity to manage smaller projects independently and build towards leading larger, more complex pieces of work.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience of working in either a project support, project coordination or PMO-type role, plus the confidence to influence others
  • Experience using MS Project, Excel and other project management tools
  • A good head for numbers and an interest in financial management
  • Some exposure to partially state-funded projects (nice to have, not essential)
  • The ability to plan resources and work with team leads to secure availability
  • A naturally organised but flexible approach, with strong analytical skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, focuses on solutions and genuinely enjoys helping ensure projects succeed.
