Trust Speciality Registrar – ICM/Anaesthetics
Join London North West University Health Care NHS Trust (LNWH) as a Trust Speciality Registrar in Anaesthesia and Critical Care. The role offers cross‑site working across LNWH’s major acute services and the high‑profile directorate dedicated to training the next generation of clinicians.
Responsibilities
- Deliver 24/7 anaesthetic support in the ICU, operating theatres and emergency department.
- Manage higher‑risk surgical cases through the Enhanced Care Unit (ECU) and coordinate day‑to‑day case planning.
- Respond to deteriorating patients across all inpatient settings, including the ED, wards and peri‑operative areas.
- Participate in the trainee development programme and contribute to the Trust’s research agenda.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years broad experience in anaesthesia and critical care.
- Postgraduate qualification equivalent to the FRCA (Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK).
- Proven experience managing a wide range of anaesthetic and critical illness scenarios.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills.
Training & Development
The post offers a structured 3‑year training curriculum leading to consultant status, with opportunities for progression to Consultant posts or Staff Grade experience.
