This is an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy assistant to join our dynamic, innovative and friendly team dedicated to improving our services within the St Mark's Pharmacy team. You will work with the dispensary and medicines management teams to help implement, deliver and continually improve services provided for both out‑patients, particularly those patients receiving home parenteral support, as well as supporting in‑patient work. We are looking for someone with experience and a passion for this area of work in hospital pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with dispensary and medicines management teams to implement and deliver pharmacy services.
- Support out‑patient services, particularly home parenteral support.
- Assist with inpatient work.
- Continuously improve pharmacy services within the St Mark's Pharmacy team and the wider department.
Qualifications & Experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a large multi‑disciplinary team.
- Friendly, approachable, adaptable, flexible, willing to learn new skills.
- Committed to continuous professional development.
- Good GCSEs or equivalent.
- Full NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in pharmacy services (or equivalent).
Contract & Work Hours
- 12‑month fixed‑term post.
- Requires participation in weekend & bank holiday rota and late night duty rota.
