The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
The CSR/Perioperative support technician orients and completes the necessary competencies to perform a variety of essential environmental and material management functions that ensure patient safety, reduce the risk of hospital-acquired infections (HAC's), and create safe, clean and sterile work environments for the operating room staff, to include:
- Supports the OR in planning and delivering care to patients during the perioperative period.
- Works with the OR staff in pulling equipment and supplies for surgical procedures which meet individual patient needs.
- Ensures standards for sterilization, disinfection, and packaging are met and documented.
- Orders and tracks supplies and equipment as needed for surgical cases.
- Is knowledgeable about proper cleaning and sterilization of OR instruments and equipment and provides assistance to personnel handling equipment to ensure proper care and minimize damage to instruments and risk of injury to staff.
- Demonstrates understanding of function of CSR autoclave and sterilization procedures through actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience: Sufficient previous experience in housekeeping and CSR technical functions.
