Overview
The Cook organizes and prepares hot food items for the breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients/residents and cafeteria, performs some baking, responsible for next day production for breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, supervises kitchen staff in the absence of the Food Service GM, Chef, Dietician and Diet Tech on duty.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum of high school education required, culinary arts training is desired.
Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity desired. Must be able to prepare a variety of foods in quantity. Must be familiar with cooking characteristics of various cuts of meat, names and contents of various types of dishes and proper portion control procedures.
