Vehicle Specialist Helpdesk Engineer

MSX International is looking for a Vehicle specialist Helpdesk Engineer to join our Ford team in order to resolve enquiries from Customer Dealers (and Customer personnel) via a Comms / Systems entry methodology.
The Role
As the Automotive Helpdesk Engineer you will liaise with Dealership personnel at all levels, with Team Leader(s) / Project Management on Vehicle Case Histories, trends and analysis, and with Customer Engineers / Staff on all issues associated directly with Helpdesk obtaining clarification from the Group Leader / Team Leader / Project Management, if required.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Record data as required into a computer system
- Participate in training / product information exchange with appropriate data sources for up to 4 weeks per year including overnight stays as required
- Accept other assignments (responsibility for items of equipment, literature, Customer data systems, analysis, investigation, ISO9000 etc.) as determined by the Group Leader / Team Leader / Project Management
- Write and circulate data to other Helpline Engineers / Project Management / Customer / Customer Dealer staff when necessary
- Complete and provide information for Company documentation as necessary (Travel Expense Reports, Corrective Action Requests, Timesheets etc.)
- On an exception basis, make travel arrangements and any other ad hoc duties as required
About you
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has strong problem-solving skills and is process oriented.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrable knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and diagnostic tools e.g. SBDO, PTS, FDRS and IDS Standard (preferred)
- Knowledge of GTAC, diagnostic session files and Analysis of vehicle XML data (preferred)
- Fluent in written and oral English (essential)
- Customer oriented focus
- Computer literate
