We are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our established team. Reporting to our Head of Compliance & Building Safety, our Compliance Lead – Service manages and supports team members to ensure consistent, effective service delivery. It leads gas and electrical compliance across all properties, providing specialist advice, overseeing contractors, and maintaining accurate compliance data. It also advises on regulatory changes and helps embed a strong safety-first culture.
What do our Compliance Lead - Service do:
- Act as the organisation's competent person for gas and electrical safety, ensuring full compliance with statutory and industry regulations across all properties.
- Develop, implement, and monitor strategies, policies, and procedures for gas servicing, safety checks, repairs, CO alarms, void processes, electrical inspection/testing (EICR), remedials, and associated compliance workflows.
- Maintain up-to-date technical and legal expertise in gas and electrical safety, embedding updates into specifications, contracts, and operational procedures.
- Commission and monitor statutory safety checks, manage remedial programmes, oversee contractor performance, and provide specialist technical advice to support design, investment, and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure accurate and reliable compliance data and reporting, lead internal audit and action plans, oversee administrative workflows, and support effective communication with residents and stakeholders on all safety matters.
What we are looking for:
- Level 4 VRQ Certificate in Gas Safety Management and in Electrical Safety Management.
- Experience of compliance management systems in a social housing context in relation to gas and electric.
- Able to develop and review relevant compliance policy and procedures in relation to gas and electric.
- Demonstrable experience in effective management and delivery of relevant compliance safety data and process management and systems in relation to gas and electric.
- Experienced in the compilation, management and control of attribute, compliance and activity registers associated with gas and electric.
- A customer focused approach to service delivery.
