Do you have proven front of house experience and excellent customer service skills? Do you want to work for a business that cares about more than the bottom line? Then this is the opportunity you\’ve been looking for
At MSV Housing we\’re committed to ensuring young people get the support they need to move their lives forward positively. Our Foyers provide a safe and secure home for young people aged 16 to 25 years who are committed to training or education but require the extra support a Foyer can offer.
Supporting our Manchester Foyer team as Front of House Assistant, you\’ll be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and support services. You\’ll carry out a range of reception and administrative duties to support the effective and efficient delivery of services, including meeting and greeting visitors, word processing and assisting residents with forms and applications. You\’ll provide a true MSV support service ensuring that the wellbeing of our young people is at the forefront of what we do.
You\’ll be responsible for handling money (for example rent payments) and with good attention to detail ensure records are accurately maintained. You\’ll use your initiative to keep information displays up to date, and be responsible for preparation of meeting rooms for conferences, training and events. You\’ll learn how to undertake inspections (for example in relation to Health & Safety) alongside the Foyer\’s Young Persons Support Workers.
You\’ll have excellent communication, administrative and clerical skills, be able to multi-task and be flexible in your approach to work. You\’ll be reliable and enthusiastic about working with young people and being the liaison point for the Manchester Foyer. You\’ll also have strong organisational skills with a \’can do\’ attitude, a customer first approach with a good knowledge of IT.
We\’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. As this job is based in a supported housing project for young people and children, an enhanced criminal records background check (free of charge to you) is required. A criminal conviction does not necessarily stop you from working with us. All decisions regarding convictions will be made on a case-by-case basis. Further detail on our commitment to safeguarding young people can be found in our Safeguarding policy attached alongside this vacancy\’s candidate pack.
We offer a range of great benefits including:
- 33 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, and a holiday a buy scheme.
- Company pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions
- Company funded access to a health cash plan, where you can claim back costs of everyday health treatments such as optical, dental and much more.
- Enhanced sick pay with up to 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay
- Health and Wellbeing Support including an employee assistance programme, free counselling, mental health first aiders and numerous wellbeing initiatives
- Life assurance subject to being a member of our company pension scheme.
- Learning and development to support you to develop the skills you need to fulfil your role and progress in your career
- Commitment to Equality and Inclusion with employee network groups covering anti-racism, LGBTQ+, disability and long-term health conditions, carers, and menopause.
MSV are also committed to supporting you to balance work and life, including with any caring or parental responsibilities you might have, and have a range of flexible working options and wellbeing support available to all colleagues to facilitate this.
