The position will initially focus on patrolling and frontline security duties, with structured upskilling and paid training to transition into CRO and AHDO responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct foot patrols across university campuses (indoor and outdoor)
- Lock and unlock buildings and facilities as required
- Provide directions and assistance to students, staff, and visitors
- Monitor systems and support control room operations
- Respond to incidents and complete detailed reports
- Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders
- Manage visitor sign-ins, inductions, and key registers
- Issue and track key passes
We are looking for reliable and technically strong candidates who can manage multiple priorities and are confident working in a dynamic university environment.
To be successful, you will have:- Certificate II in Security Operations
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Valid NSW Security Licence
- Previous Control Room experience (essential)
- Current Working With Children Check (paid)
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn systems and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and professional approach
- High level of reliability, integrity, and attention to detail
- Physical fitness with the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Good computer literacy skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Permanent full-time position (minimum 38 hours per week)
- Competitive pay rate of $29.79 per hour + super + shift penalties
