Job Description
SENIOR STRATEGIST / STRATEGY DIRECTOR
What we're looking for
We are looking for a strategic talent who is ready to set the world of sport & entertainment alight by joining one of Campaign’s ‘2025 ones to watch’ at a formative stage – both for you, and our agency.
A self-starter with a confident and robust approach who can get stuck in and make an immediate impact – you will be either an early stage (1-3 years) Strategy Director ready to hone your signature style, or a seasoned Senior Strategist ready to take it to the next level.
This role is perfect for someone who is not only a capable pair of hands but also ambitious, full of energy, and ready to step up in driving growth for the business.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be working on sport & entertainment sponsorship activation & partnership briefs in our UK team but collaborating with our Amsterdam and NY teams. We are growing at pace and have strategic and creative opportunities aplenty - no two days will be the same.
Your role will be a combination of owning mid-sized briefs, supporting the Strategy Partner & global Leadership team on bigger pieces of thinking, plus collaborating Account teams on sparkle projects such as industry inspiration, leading workshops, social strategy etc.
What we need from you
As a strategic star on the rise, you will live & breathe these skills in your work:
- Be the culture whisperer: tapped into what’s driving the cultural conversation, what consumers are thinking and talking about, and, most importantly, how our client can harness culture to show up in meaningful, impactful ways for their customers
- Be the voice of the audience: Help define and bring to life who they are, what makes their pulse quicken, and what part sponsorships can play in making them love our clients’ brand
- Be the creative’s best friend: showing deep experience and empathy for the creative process, preparing insightful and incisive creative briefs, and steering the work for success
- Be the client’s secret weapon: connecting the dots between commercial & brand objectives and sponsorships, shaping our campaign & activations’ power to deliver against them, and providing an informed & empathetic ear that makes you an extension of their team
- Be a smooth operator: driving the bus, and bringing the team with you - proactively steering projects, spotting opportunities, clearing your own roadblocks, untangling knots for others and fighting for the best creative work to get made
What you’ll bring to the table
We are looking for someone who has…
- Strategy & planning experience within an agency or editorial environment, ideally with a focus on sport, culture and/or entertainment
- Track record of having the main or sole responsibility for the strategy & client briefs that you work on
- Particular affinity for insights, briefs & creative empowerment that are shaped for earned media & activations – e.g. original content, PR and social-first
- The gravitas to captivate a room and convince clients & creatives alike with your storytelling
- An eye for visual communication; you don’t have to be a graphic designer, but you do need to create a polished deck
- Experience building collaborative relationships with both inter-agency partners and clients with multiple stakeholders
- The passion and the vision to influence culture-shaping creative work
- An entrepreneurial mindset that’s equally adept at dreaming big and getting stuff done
- The temperament to thrive in a start-up agency with a fast pace and fluid ways-of-working
- Strong communicator: must be fluent in English
What we offer
- The chance to work on partnerships for some of the world’s most loved brands
- A collaborative, fast-moving creative environment where ideas come to life
- Rapid career progression with room to shape your style & find your unique voice
- Hybrid and flexible working model
- Competitive salary, plus benefits package including health cover
Please note applications for this opportunity will close on Friday 8th August.
NO RECRUITERS PLEASE.
