Location: Leicester, on-site

Initial term: 3-month contract

Permanent salary: £45,000 - £55,000 FTE (£27,000 - £33,000 pro-rata based on 3 days per week)

Exciting Finance Manager opportunity with a successful and robust Leicester-based construction business whose growth over the past 30+ years has been unparalleled, with phenomenal projected growth.

This Finance Manager opportunity will be part of a strong Leadership team, being pivotal to the growth of the business.

My client is looking for someone to take full responsibility for:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
  • Assessing existing processes and controls, identifying gaps, and building them out properly
  • Documenting what good looks like and making it stick
  • Working with COINS Finance (training and support available)
  • Reporting to the MD and working closely with the fractional Finance Director

Candidates must be qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or part-qualified / QBE with substantial hands-on experience.

Successful candidates must demonstrate:

  • Strong management accounts background. You need to be able to own month-end from day one
  • Experience in construction, contracting, or a project-based environment is a strong advantage
  • COINS Finance experience is desirable but not essential. Support on the system will be provided
  • Significant experience building or formalising finance functions in a growing business. You will know what good looks like and how to get there
  • Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, having the gravitas to hit the ground running.
