Overview
MSP LAB is seeking an ambitious and driven Solutions Success Consultant, to work closely with the principals of the business and our clients, providing technical consultancy and implementation of our solutions and driving successful sales revenue. This role will report to the Solutions Success Manager, and is critical to fulfilling the company’s excellent reputation by maintaining our fantastic client base.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Excel at managing, maintaining and building relationships with clients.
- Generate sales opportunities with existing accounts via phone, email and social media.
- Attending and exhibiting at industry leading events.
- Maintain up-to-date information and opportunities in the company\\\’s CRM & PSA.
- Apply excellent sales methodologies and qualification skills.
- Help the company meet and exceed its sales targets.
- Excel at generating sales from an existing account base.
- Drive sales and deliver a market-leading customer experience through a consultative technical sales approach.
- Maintain our base of existing clients through attentive account management and uncover new opportunities supported by our portfolio of technologies and internal whitespace tracking database.
- Generate sales opportunities via phone, email and social media; visit clients face-to-face where possible.
- Build a healthy pipeline of projects and recurring sales.
- Re-engage with dormant accounts to present our latest offerings.
- Keep our CRM & PSA up to date and provide monthly forecasts.
- Help manage client projects from discovery through to completion.
- Follow up on targeted MSP LAB and vendor-led marketing campaigns.
- Regularly post and engage on LinkedIn to build brand presence, profile and authority.
- Develop and maintain structured account plans and IT roadmaps for customers.
- Create detailed proposals and engage clients with a consultative approach.
- Resolve and act as escalation point for all customer queries, both technical and sales.
- Work with all areas of the business to ensure a positive customer experience is maintained.
- Monitor market and competitor activity and feedback to ensure value and technology portfolio remains best-in-class.
- Work with in-house and vendor Pre-Sales teams to design and cost solutions.
- Conduct onsite assessments for clients and produce subsequent reports.
- Perform any other responsibilities to support the business.
Required Competencies
- Excellent telephone and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT solutions sales.
- A driven individual who wants to succeed.
- Impeccable commercial awareness and ability to articulate and structure complex opportunities with clarity.
- Ability to generate, manage, negotiate and close opportunities.
- Must hold a full UK Driving License, have use of a vehicle during the working week and be prepared to travel for work, with occasional overnight stays.
KPIs
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) will be agreed upon and reviewed quarterly.

- Demonstrable experience in IT solutions technical sales.
- Impeccable commercial awareness; ideally experience with Independent Schools or professional services clients.
- Consistently deliver outstanding results through extensive sales activities.
- Highly effective verbal and written communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Second-to-none organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the team.
- A self-starter who can add value and help mature existing processes.
- Must have a suitable home working environment.
- Enthusiasm, positivity, tenacity, candour, innovation and consistency are valued.
