We're working with an established business based in Didcot, looking to bring in a dedicated IT Support professional to join their technical support team. The successful candidate will provide essential assistance in supporting, maintaining and troubleshooting customers' IT infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, supporting a wide range of hardware and software systems across various operating platforms. The role suits someone with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a genuine focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The role is based in the office at 2/3 times per week, with potential customer site visits as required.
Key Duties
- Provide help desk technical support and assistance to end-users via telephone and email, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems with desktop computers, laptops, servers, and peripheral devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Microsoft 365/Azure Active Directory and other identity management systems.
- Support and maintain computer networks including LAN, WAN, VPNs, DNS, TCP/IP configurations, firewalls, and backup technologies.
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of operating systems, including updates and patches.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation of IT services.
