This is a hands-on, field-based role covering the Northwest of England, with occasional travel further afield, and is central to how the business delivers high-quality on-site installations and support across its client base.

You'll be responsible for delivering professional on-site installations, maintenance and support services, with a strong focus on structured network cabling, IT infrastructure and telecoms systems. You'll work across a wide variety of customer sites — from small offices to larger commercial environments — often acting as the face of the business on-site.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be technically competent, well organised, and confident working independently while keeping clear communication with clients, suppliers and internal teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Install, terminate and test structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fibre where required)
  • Install and configure IT and telecoms equipment, including desktop PCs, laptops, network switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points and VoIP systems
  • Carry out full site installations, including cabinet/rack builds, patch panel terminations and cable management
  • Conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for network and IT infrastructure improvements
  • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and client specifications
