Due to continued growth and increasing demand, the business is investing in the development and optimisation of its warehouse function. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, supporting both production and wider business operations, with a strong focus on accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies
- Receive and book in components against bills of materials, allocating stock to correct bin locations
- Accurately pick components to support production and configuration activities
- Pack completed orders and liaise with internal teams to arrange shipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure systems are kept up to date
- Identify and report stock discrepancies between physical inventory and system records
- Adhere to company quality standards, procedures, and operating processes
- Ensure safe use of warehouse equipment and maintain a safe working environment
- Carry out basic equipment checks, reporting faults or near misses where necessary
- Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation
- Support ad hoc projects, including stock reorganisation and preparation of promotional kits
Qualifications
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Awareness of legal and compliance requirements within a warehouse environment
- Counterbalance forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
Technical Skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with inventory systems and stock control processes
- Familiarity with inventory management software
Personal Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- Proactive problem-solving approach
- Comfortable working independently as well as within a small team
Language
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
